~Personality~
As a child, Reka is rather self-absorbed and bratty, most likely stemming from the total lack of discipline she received from her parents, as well as bossy. She frequently boasts about her smarts and crow about how much of a beautiful woman she would grow up to be. Her boasting, however, is not so far off, for the girl had been blessed with a great intellect, and her ingenuity is shown through her inventions, like creating her own Dragon Radar from scratch (unbeknownst to her, someone had already made one). As she grows up, her vanity tones down, but she still retains some of her sassiness with her quip remarks and.
She is also very enthusiastic, and sometimes can be rather spastic, prone to overreacting and sometimes even overdramatic.
~Background~
Being born into a wealthy family made Reka’s life terribly easy. She was pampered endlessly by butlers and maids, and yet, she didn’t receive a fair amount of attention from her parents, more so she left to do her own thing most of the time. She grew to crave that very love and affection her family did not provide. One night, she dreamt of meeting a handsome prince, who cared deeply for her and called her his princess. With his final words of saying she’d see him someday, Reka grew determined to make this dream a reality. Her intensive researched she brought her to the legend of the mystical orbs known as Dragon Ball—and they could grant any single wish a person desired. Her hopes soaring, she hastily crafted a radar to track these orbs and ecstatically relented this to her best friend Chi-Ci. Her friend, though skeptical and a bit worried, agreed to help Reka find the Dragon Balls, after school ended.
Reka was baffled that whenever she came close to getting a Dragon Ball, someone else would snatch it up before her. Aggravated that someone was probably using her to track the orbs, she soon ended up locating the 7 balls around the location of the World Martial Arts Tournament. Chi-Ci convinces Reka to stay and watch the WMAT, suggesting that person might be competing. Before the tournament started, Reka scouts around the island to see if maybe the Dragon Balls are hidden somewhere else—the person might’ve messed with the signal to trick her!—and she crashes her bike into three boys wandering around as well. Reka lands on one of the boys wearing a blue gi. She panics when the boy grabs her shoulders (unaware of his own confusion), and she promptly begins to shoot the boys, fearing that they would hurt her. She is shocked that the bullets had no effect on them.
After the misunderstanding is cleared up, Reka is introduced to the boys—Draygon, Goku Junior, and Vegeta Junior. Reka find Draygon and Goku Junior to be rather friendly; however, Vegeta Junior (the boy she landed on top off) she can’t stand his “rudeness”. Thusly, she befriends Draygon and Goku Junior easily. They say they’ll be competing in the tournament, and she replies that she’ll cheer for them.
As the tournament progresses, Reka is both shocked and suspicious of Goku Junior and Vegeta Junior change their hair color to a vibrant yellow. She wonders if there’s more to them than meets the eye. As Chi-Ci cheers on, Reka remains silent, pondering if they know about the Dragon Balls.
After Goku Junior wins the tournament, Reka confronts him and demands he explain how their hair could change yellow. Deciding it’s better to admit his heritage, Goku Junior tells her that his and Vegeta Junior’s families have alien blood—from his grandfather and Vegeta Junior’s father. Reka is then introduced to the aforementioned families, shocked that Vegeta Junior’s mother is her idol, Bulma Briefs. She also instantly develops a crush on Trunks, thinking she could be the prince she dreamed of, because of his handsomeness and his royal, alien heritage (Vegeta Junior is angered that she doesn’t consider him a prince).
Reka soon discovers who had been hoarding the Dragon Balls—a Namekian named Nayo whom Goku Junior fought in the finals. Reka angrily screams at him for keeping the Dragon Balls from her, while Nayo retorts that her wish was selfish and downright stupid, and the Dragon Balls were for more than just “stupid girly fantasies”.
Reka and Chi-Ci end up befriending the Juniors’ and Draygon’s families. Reka becomes extremely jealous of Trunks’ sort-of girlfriend, Mai, fuming that her princely crush is with her.
~Misc~
- Despite her young age, Reka is rather skilled with guns.
- Reka loves to garden. Sometimes, she will convince some of her family's hired workers to let her garden with them.
- She doesn’t exactly remember how the prince looked in her dream, but, she assumes she’ll know who he is once they meet.
- She is deeply afraid of spiders and thunderstorms.
